On Wednesday, 14 October of 2026, at 5 p.m., a new sculpture by the English artist collective 'Satoshi Gallery' will be unveiled. It is another statue from the „21 Nodes“ series, an art project commemorating the anonymous creator of Bitcoin, known worldwide as 'Satoshi Nakamoto'.
Other sculptures by the collective can already be found in cities such as New York, Tokyo, and Lugano. Now another one is being added to the second district of Vienna, the so called „Viertel Zwei“. The 90 centimetre – high sculpture depicts a person sitting cross-legged with a laptop on their lap and is intended to represent the developers of Bitcoin. The anonymity of Bitcoin’s creator has also been taken into account in the construction of the sculpture. Consisting of 61 layers of stainless steel, the sculpture is clearly visible from the side, but appears almost invisible when viewed from the front.
